ROLE
Purpose
Responsible for the Warehouse Operation and Stock Accuracy of all inventories. Operating with other functional team members, to always ensure the safe and effective running of the department as a whole.
Direct Reports: Stock Administrators (x2), Warehouse Operators (x6), Warehouse Supervisor (x1)
Key Responsibilities
• Provide direction and leadership to the warehouse team and stock administrators ensuring achievement of productivity, quality, and stock accuracy.
• Commitment to improve and maintain Health and Safety standards, challenging poor behaviour and achieving best practice.
• Monitor procedures and processes for the receipt, storage, packing, picking and despatch of products, and maintain written procedures for all processes in line with company standards.
• Ensure that customer orders are managed efficiently and accurately.
• Develop and train team members to ensure productivity levels are maintained and improved. Put in place and maintain training matrix for all team members.
• Recruitment and training of any new team members.
• Ensure Safe Systems of work are adhered to and appropriate standards of professional behaviour are maintained.
• Work closely with the production teams to improve warehouse operations, production efficiencies, and ensure compliance with all site processes and procedures
• Using the warehouse space to achieve peak efficiency. Analyse systems to recommend tools, fixtures, equipment, or layout changes to improve workflow, productivity. Recommend improved methods, records, etc. to enhance quality, stock accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist with the management of any improvement projects being implemented within the Warehouse.
• Take charge of stock control and warehouse organisation by implementing strong policies and procedures. Establish and maintain control systems for inventory, keeping inventory up to date and accurate at all times
• Organise and plan all intake and outbound operations with relevant departments.
• Organising and participate in stock takes quarterly, carried out over a weekend.
• Ensure monthly stock takes are carried out at the off-site storage facility.
• Ensure that vehicles, machinery and equipment are well maintained and fit for purpose.
• Carry out monthly rack inspections.
CANDIDATE
? Able to demonstrate effective leadership, establishing clear expectations, supporting employee engagement and motivation
? Experience in a warehouse management or warehouse shift manager role
? A proven track record of achieving targets
? A highly effective communicator with drive and enthusiasm
? Strong warehouse experience including inventory management
? Flexible availability across days/hours
? Able to work under pressure and within an FMCG business
? Flexible in approach to meet changing demands without compromising operational efficiency.
? Valid FLT Licence desirable
? Excellent attention to detail.
? A team player who fully co-operates with others to ensure the smooth and efficient running of all operational areas within the warehouse.
