A major part alongside the day to day running of the team will be developing the European Supply Chain Maintenance Strategy, which will be fascinating as this client is massive across the globe. Our client is such a huge business, everyone wants to work for them.
As the Engineering Manager you will report into the Site Manager, and you will be the driving force in that relationship between engineering and operations.
As always the main purpose of this management role is to lead the site maintenance program to ensure all site assets which will include manufacturing equipment, utilities and facilities meet specific site/legislative requirements.
We are open to looking at candidates with experience in food/drinks/pharmaceutical manufacturing backgrounds but you must be able to do the below.
• You will engage with the Operational Excellence teams to work on key projects to drive site performance and to assist in key company improvement initiatives. There will also be technical projects that will include budgetary/CAPEX experience.
• The role requires the successful candidate to be able demonstrate driving improvements in asset care systems and improved mechanically efficiencies, alongside budget management with the ability to understand and demonstrate where to invest money to make a difference.
• Be able to demonstrate a strategic approach to engineering but also be able to manage the teams with a level of empathy whilst inspiring everyone to achieve high levels of performance.
• Plan and prepare asset care interventions in a “best in class way” focusing on the quality and speed of execution both during the work and also as the line recovers from maintenance.
This vacancy will be based in North London but commutable from Essex, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
Package on offer will be in the range of £70,000 basic with a bonus but their pension is around 18%.
