Job Description

The Drink Industry is very fast paced, demanding, and constantly developing, therefore the people the company looks to join them must have a great personality and the drive to exceed the customers’ expectations. A new vacancy has arisen to join the company’s busy team, the role available is a Head of Brewing Operations and is situated in the UK. This role may require relocation which the company will fully support!

Within this role you will work closely with the Brewing MODs, and Senior Production team members to make sure that the beer is brewed according to the companies specifications, and in good time.

The Role:

• Oversee all aspects of the brewing balanced scorecard – Safety, Quality, Delivery, Morale, Cost, Environment
• Oversee all aspects of process brewing from malt intake to filtration, bright beer and packaging. Ensure the brewing team have the resources to achieve the brewing schedule and provide them with suitable mentoring and coaching.
• Lead, motivate and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment.
• Responsible for setting and achieving set KPIs.
• Reporting on operations performance
• Overall responsibility for ensuring our production scheduling adherence to the schedule (safely and at the highest quality)
• Manage the successful delivery of finished brewing products to our client – The packaging team – and be an OTIFIS champion, this includes being a point of focus for information cascade through your MOD’s to execute the planned schedule and achieve cadence targets. Provide goals and targets using SMART principals.
• Be a QHSE Champion. Lead by example, providing a safe work environment for yourself and your team, constantly challenging unsafe conditions and providing solutions where possible. Meet our quality and hygiene targets and drive our process forward.
• Develop, and manage team resources, recruit amazing people to join our fantastic brewing team
• Complete RCA into non-conformances and drive process improvement from the top down. Educate your senior team in RCA and process improvement to keep your department well rounded and developing
• Ensure clear channels of communication within the brewing team and the wider production team to guarantee quality and consistency and maintain accurate records.

Skills/Personal Attributes:

• Proven success in an operations management role with a strong brewing background in a complex large SKU number brewery
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills through ability to diagnose and implement solutions.
• Ability to create a good plan with determination to accomplish goals.
• Excellent leadership qualities with ability to provide direction.
• Experience of managing and leading a team
• Proven ability to plan and manage operation processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.
• Ability to manipulate analyse and interpret data.
• Proven CI skills and use
