Role Overview:
As our Head Baker, you will be the mastermind behind our delightful sweet and savoury pastries, along with our scrumptious array of pizzas. Your culinary expertise will set the tone for the entire baking team, ensuring every product aligns with our commitment to excellence. You'll have the freedom to innovate and create new recipes, constantly elevating our menu and pushing the boundaries of taste and presentation.

Responsibilities:
– Managing, hiring, training, scheduling and supervising of staff bakers.
– Maintaining clean work areas and equipment, with defined and follow HACCP guidelines.
– Culinary direction and menu design, including of new and seasonal products (Each holiday)
– Accurate recipe documentation of all re-occurring products.
– Communicating with the foodservice team to ensure that orders are delivered on time and that production runs smoothly.
– Purchasing and Inventory Management, with an emphasis on nurturing supplier relationships to identify cost savings while maintaining quality (Food wastage, 3 interchangeable suppliers)
– Make yourself available at reasonable times to ensure marketing content can be filmed for marketing to promote products.
– Production of baked goods, preparation of dough for pizzeria.

Requirements:
– Proven experience as a Head Baker or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your sweet and savoury creations.
– Exceptional knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient properties, and food safety standards.
– Expertise in crafting artisanal pizzas with a variety of toppings and crust styles.
– Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a team to achieve excellence.
– Creativity and passion for experimenting with new flavours, textures, and presentations.
– Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
– Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering outstanding products.
– Flexibility to work during early mornings, weekends, and occasional evenings as needed in a dynamic foodservice environment.
