Our client, one of the leading manufacturing companies in its sector have notified us of an opening at their state of the art facility in Edinburgh. Currently seeking a graphic designer with a printing background, the client are open to various levels of experience.
In the role you will join a team of four, preparing customer briefs and liaising with the customer services team in order to ensure artworks and plate files are ready.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Work with our customers, external sales team, and customer service team in order to adhere to the customers briefs
• Work closely with Print Manager, Conversion Manager, Business Improvement Manager and Quality Manager to ensure Print is designed for manufacture
• Liaise with the Print Manager relating to artwork and plate files being suitable for the Saica Scotland production tolerances
• Liaise with the Services Department relating to Plate Orders
• Liaise with the Structural Department relating to the supply and suitability of forms
• Liaise with the Plate Supplier relating to Plate file queries or lead times
• To act and behave in a safe manner that ensures safety and wellbeing and that of your colleagues and complies with legislation and site safety rules
• Follow Product Safety & Hygiene Procedures
Candidate requirements
• Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment working with high volumes
• Flexographic experience is a necessity
• Understanding of artwork layouts for cutouts and printers
• ESKO, Microsoft and Adobe package skills
