Position: Environmental and Sustainability Coordinator
Location: Lincolnshire
Salary: Up to circa £32,000 + 1 extra day per month off work + 30 days holiday + life assurance + critical illness cover
Shift: Mon – Fri, 8am – 5pm
My client are a leading manufacturing company based in Lincolnshire, seeking a skilled and dedicated Environmental and Sustainability Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our environmental initiatives while contributing to the sustainable growth of our organization.
My client are committed to achieving net zero as soon as possible, as such, this is a brand new role created to help drive them towards a sustainable, green future. We are after an engaging professional who is committed to taking people on a journey in this role. This is a position where you will be afforded attonomey and free to stand on your own 2 feet (NOT Micro-managed), but still supported in a structured team of 4 individuals .
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement environmental and sustainability strategies, policies, and programs.
Maintain and control of the business Environmental Management system with ISO14001 compliance
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
Conduct environmental audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable practices into manufacturing operations.
Monitor and analyze energy and resource consumption to identify opportunities for efficiency improvement.
Coordinate waste management programs and implement recycling initiatives.
Conduct training sessions to raise awareness about environmental issues and sustainable practices among employees.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to sustainability.
Qualifications:
Relevant Environmental qualifications / IEMA Membership
Proven experience in manufacturing, preferably within the food industry.
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability principles.
Familiarity with waste water management, energy efficiency, and recycling practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
This is a Monday to Friday shift position, offering a competitive salary of up to circa £32,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
