With a strong commitment to excellence and innovation, my client have established themselves as a trusted name in the industry. As they continue to expand their operations across UK, Europe and America, we are seeking an experienced and motivated EHS Manager to join our team in Warwickshire, at a brand new, state of the art site and assist with implementing the businesses leading European standards for H&S across the site.
Position:
As the EHS Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, as well as compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective EHS policies and procedures, foster a culture of safety, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement EHS strategies, policies, and programs to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
– Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and implement corrective actions.
– Provide guidance and support to operational teams, promoting a strong safety culture and awareness.
– Collaborate with internal stakeholders to conduct EHS training programs and workshops.
– Monitor and evaluate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement preventative measures.
– Maintain and update EHS documentation, records, and reports as required by local authorities.
– Stay current with relevant EHS regulations and industry best practices, ensuring compliance across the organization.
Qualifications and Requirements:
– Proven experience as an EHS Manager in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
– In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance requirements.
– Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
– Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
– Professional certifications in EHS management (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO14001) are highly desirable.
