Hiring a Development Chef for a family-owned UK processor of premium, chilled meals. Manufacturing experience is NOT needed, client is open to chef’s with hospitality background. The key ingredient is a passion for food!
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the development of products and enhance existing products to meet customer expectations.
Management of the department process such as product samples and specifications.
Ensuring relevant ingredients and packaging are available to prepare samples in a timely manner.
Making improvements or modifications to current processes and products.
Formulating new production processes.
Generating ideas for new products and researching feasibility.
Reporting on market trends
What will be expected of you?
A background in food preparation is required, with experience in manufacturing and product development specifically desirable.
Able to maintain focus under pressure to meet project deadlines via exceptional organisational skills.
To utilise effective communication, dealing with colleagues across company departments, suppliers and customers.
Salary up to 45K depending on experience and great benefits package
South West England Region
Monday to Friday, 8 – 4pm (flexibility for launches required, compensated by time in lieu)

Currently stand-alone role, with assistant to be hired in the future.
Must have a can-do attitude, articulate when speaking to customers and a love for cooking.
