Account Manager – Foodservice Supplier/Wholesaler into independent trade

Our client is a well-established, strong performing family run food service supplier. They are well respected within the industry supplying customers within hospitality, retail, healthcare, and education sectors. Our client’s core focus is ensuring the customer is at the centre of everything they do and their passion for the food and hospitality sector shines through.
The Role
As the Account Manager you will focus on maintaining excellent relationships which have been developed with existing customers (80%) as well as building new accounts (20%) to create long-term commercial partnerships.
You’ll have a wide array of duties including:
• Building strong relationships for existing and new accounts to maximise commercial revenue.
• Develop existing customer base and ensure profitable sales growth above targets.
• Maximise new business opportunities to increase market share and account spending within the region.
• Growing the customer base through effective prospecting. Converting sales leads into trading accounts.
• Adding value in every call through effective range selling, margin enhancement, and menu planning. Maintaining a professional approach and attitude.
• Always looking for ways to improve our offering to customers and to tailor your approach to customer requirements where possible.
• To monitor territory performance and regularly analyse customer reports.
• Working within pricing guidelines.
To be considered for this opportunity you will need:
• Account Management experience within food service or a chef who is looking to get into sales.
• A driven, sales oriented mindset with commercial acumen.
• To enjoy developing existing relationships as well as opening new accounts.
• To be a genuine foodie and have strong knowledge of the sector.
• A full clean driving licence.
